PHP Treatment Options in Massachusetts
Partial Hospitalization (PHP), also known as day treatment, provides care for up to seven days per week for up to 20 hours of treatment.
A type of outpatient treatment, also called day treatment, for individuals requiring more services than
intensive outpatient due to the severity of their addiction or other health conditions.
PHP is best for people with more complex cases of addiction and/ or other serious medical, including mental health, conditions who have a supportive living environment.
The living environment in PHP may be a patient's own home, but usually spend a lot of time each day in treatment, which can make working or going to school difficult.
